WELCOME TO FAITH COTTAGE
Your perfect country holiday awaits, Faith Cottage is our Grade II listed chocolate box cottage, surrounded by fields it is located just outside the quiet village of Bradfield St. George.
Dating back to around 1488, we lovingly restored Faith Cottage in 2005 to combine character features with modern amenities.
The large garden is the perfect place for that family game of football or hide and seek and with views over the glorious Suffolk countryside you can almost guarantee that some wildlife will wander through the garden during your stay. We have one of the oldest woodlands in England just a short walk away, which is the ideal place for a peaceful stroll.
Many wonderful medieval villages are scattered throughout the area, home to some fabulous Tudor architecture, and nearby Bury St Edmunds offers a good range of amenities and attractions, including the Theatre Royal and of course the stunning cathedral.

OUR STORY
In 2005 Faith Cottage (formerly Settlers) was looking a little unloved both inside and out. After a long 18 months Faith Cottage had been completely renovated, everything from the kitchen sink to the front wall of the cottage having been replaced or repaired, including 3 months alone to clear the garden which was more of a bramble jungle, we were finally ready to open to guests. The first of which arrived in July 2006, we signed up to a holiday letting agency in October of that year who we stayed with until October 2020, now was the time for us to go it alone, and so here we are. Ready for this new chapter of Faith Cottage and to welcome you to enjoy a slice of this gorgeous property.
THE COTTAGE
When you arrive at Faith Cottage you will be greeted with the kitchen all set up for a mini afternoon tea for you to enjoy, as well as a complimentary welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, wine, your first basket of firewood and more. WIFI is available at the property, however Fibreoptic isn't yet possible due to our country location, although we do have good 3g/4g connection. In the bathroom you will find a roll top bath and walk in shower, the kitchen comes fully equipped for whatever your cooking needs will be whilst on holiday.
There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, a double and then a twin, with a double sofa bed downstairs in the living room. There are 2 wood burners one in the living room and the other in the dining room, where you will also find a selection of board games and books. The garden covers a very large area, there is a pond but this is fenced off and if you are travelling with children there is a smaller enclosed section of the garden which has a Wendy house and a selection of outdoor games, there is even a small adjoining wood, perfect for hide and seek.
If you are coming for the Christmas / New Year season you can expect to find Faith Cottage beautifully decorated.
